Complementary/monochrome

I thought that my Christmas poinsetta was the perfect complementary photo, showing two different colors at opposites sides of the color wheel. The flowers are still in bloom from Christmas time (plants never last this long for me).
After last Wednesday's snow storm, I took this picture early Thursday morning. The picture seems to show many hues of white making it a monochrome photo.

  2. I really like the poinsetta, what lighting did you use? I bet it would be really bright and beautiful in mid-day sun

  3. Great shot of the wintery morning. I was running late for work that morning and forgot to grab my camera on my way out the door... I was so upset. You captured exactly what I was looking for; those snowy trees! Great shot here, nice job!

  4. beautiful shot of the snow-covered trees. I think the black of the trees, the white of the snow, and the grey of the sky make this picture a monochrome photo.

  5. Good color shots. The poinsettia is front and center and "framed" by the green leaves. The snowy day is definitely monochome...so somber...
