I cropped this picture and increased the red saturation for the bird to stand out more. 
This is the original photo. I took this from my livingroom window this winter. I zoomed in so that I had a nice picture of the bird.

that is really cool that the bird seemed like it was looking towards you. Good job! The red does make it stand out more.
